Software capabilities

The Assurance System™ is a Windows-based program that creates a comprehensive Electronic Therapeutic Record© for every patient. This medication therapy management software system is accessible via a secure high-speed internet connection and is supported by an industry standard coding and drug database. The Assurance System™ software is HIPPA compliant, and built and configured to manage and support MTM practice networks.

Patient Care Documentation
  • At every patient encounter the Assurance System™ makes the proper connections between:
    • Patient demographic information
    • Medical conditions, care plans, and goals of therapy
    • Drug products used
    • Dosage regimens taken
    • Drug therapy problems identified
    • Clinical outcomes and economic impact
  • Prepares personalized reports for patients including:
    • Each medical condition being treated or prevented with medications
    • All medications (prescription, non-prescription, herbals, dietary supplements)
    • Personalized instructions
    • Time of day each dose is to be taken
    • Monitoring plans (for blood pressure, glucose, pain scale, patient satisfaction)
    • Personalized patient education information including desired goals of therapy

  • Prepares comprehensive reports for physicians including:
    • Each medical condition being treated or prevented with medications
    • All medications being used by the patient (Prescriptions from all prescribers, non-prescription products, herbal remedies, dietary supplements and vitamins)
    • The actual dosage of each medication being taken by the patient
    • Drug therapy problems identified
    • Recommendations to achieve the goals of therapy
Practice Management
  • Unique Assurance™ data structure allows combining practice results from multiple practitioners at multiple practice sites within a network to determine outcomes and value of medication therapy management services provided.
  • Clinical and economic impact can be analyzed and reported by patient type, disease, drug product used, drug therapy problem category, practitioner group, or payer.
  • Comprehensive practice management reports available to help assess workload, plan expansions, ensure quality services are delivered and managed, including project practice revenue. These include summary of previous month and year-to-date reports including number of patients, number of encounters, drug therapy problems identified and resolved, and outcomes. Service Impact reports include summary of health care costs avoided by reduction in hospital admissions, emergency department visits. Practice management reports by pharmacist, practice site, region, and/or payer type are available.
  • Electronic claim creation and submission feature creates and manages invoices for services payment purposes.
